Flash foward

October, November and December were a good months for United as they won many of the matches and only losing the Manchester derby due to the Sergio Agüero goal. Later in March United were knocked out of the  FA cup with a 2-1 home defeat to reigning sinners Arsenal. And in April came the Manchester derby at Old Trafford, the 169th Manchester derby!
City took the lead inside 15 minutes thanks to none other than the man himself, Sergio Aguero. But United repsonded quickly with a mishap in the City back four Ashley Young scored his second of the season. Later providing an assist to Marouanne Fellaini who gave United the lead. United were the doninant side and they proved to be so and Juan Mata made it 3-1 followed by a Chris Smalling header which made it 4-1 to United. Sergio Aguero later made it 4-2 as United were victorious.
United finished the season 4th, securing a spot in the champions league. But this wasnt it, midfielder Angel Di Maria was speculated that he wanted to leave Old Trafford following a struggling season. But he later confirmed that he will be staying at Old Trafford. More good news was to follow as United announced that it had reached an agreement with PSV Eindhoven over the transfer of winger Memphis Depay. Manchester United already strengthening their squad.
