Season 2015-16

After finishing 4th last season, Manchester United were under immense pressure as they were to expected to win a silverware this season. Manager Louis van Gaal was quite busy in the transfer window as first he signed winger Memphis Depay from PSV Eidnhoven and later signing Italian International fullback Matteo Darmian from Torino. Promising signings from the manager but since the departure of Robin van Persie to Fenerbache and the end of loan of Columbian striker Radamel Falcao, United were in dire need of a new striker.
One day before the lads departed for USA, they were joined by the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin as both of them joined the club.

United performed well in the pre season tour in USA by wining against Club America, San Jose Earthquakes and FC Barcelona. United lost in the final to PSG.
Next up for United was a home game against Tottenham Hotspur.
It was joy as United ended up 1-0 thanks to an owl goal from Kyle Walker. Later they won 1-0 at Aston Villa thanks to Adnan Januzaj who scored the only goal and later departed on loan to Borussia Dortmund. Mexican striker Chicharito Hernandez left for German side Bayer Leverkusen, failing to make it to Louis van Gaals team. Meaning United really needed a striker and deadline day was fast approaching.
United also qualified for the Champions League with a 7-1 aggregate win over Belgian side Club Brugge. Manchester United were then put alongside PSV Eindhoven, Wolfsburg and CSKA Moskova in a thrilling group B in the Champions league.
United then drew 0-0 at home to Newcastle and lost 2-1 away to Swansea. Where would they finish?
