After the International break, United face a tough test a Monday night match against Liverpool at Anfield. With Liverpool firing goals in their previous matches, United boss Mourinho was looking to stop the Liverpool attack and work to get the 3 points in the bag. Liverpool were withouth the likes of Dutch international Gergino Wijnaldum.

United made several changes from the side that drew to Stoke at home, with Ashley Young making his first start of the season.
Marcus Rashford also started and Daley Blind was left back while Luke Shaw was on the bench.
The match ended which was quite regarded as 'boring' with Liverpool dominating the match with more shots and possession. Manchester United 4:1 Fenerbahce

After failing to win in two games now, United were eager to win at home to Fenerbahce. Having won their last game against Zorya in the Europa League United looked for a second win in the competition. This match also saw the likes of Robin van Persie returning to Old Trafford, but he did not come to Old Trafford just for the ovation but eager to get the 3 points too.
Fenerbahce started of the game poorly after conceding two penalties both of which United scored, one from Anthony Martial and the other from Paul Pogba. Pogba later doubled his goal tally by scoring from just outside the box thanks to a beautiful layoff by Jesse Lingard, who then got his goal in the second half making it 4-0 to United. But the fun wasnt over yet, Dutch striker Robin van Persie scored on his return and received a standing ovation from the United supporters, what a way to mark your return!
